Marketing - Mob Grip Brand & Team Manager

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Manage, develop and implement a Global Brand Strategy for Mob Grip. while pursuing the company’s departmental/financial goals and objectives. Manage the entire marketing and product life cycles for the brands. 

 

Main Goal:  Develop and execute strategic marketing and product plans for Mob Grip that capitalize on current momentum to create demand and retail sell-thru.  Demand creation is job #1!  Results will be based on brand sales, brand contribution and market share growth. 

 

Essential Brand Manager Functions:

 

  • Set annual sales forecast based on sales history, trends, and product line and oversee progress monthly
  • Set, execute and operate within annual marketing plan and budget
  • Set 1-3 annual brand/personal goals and objectives around NHS Goals, Mission, Vision Statements and Core Values
  • Responsible for utilizing existing methods of Consumer and Dealer market research and the discovery of new methods
  • Competitive analysis by category and region to find differentiation opportunities that are aligned with the brands.
  • Collaborating with the brand’s artist and the Sr. Hardgoods Manager, Creative Directors, Apparel Department and HDC on the development of hardgood and softgood product lines insuring proper margins and optimal, on-time delivery
  • Monthly PNL (profit and loss) marketing budget and sales reviews w/ CFO, VP
  • Work closely with Sales, HDC and Apparel to ensure that product offering, quantities and deliveries are appropriate and timely
  • Brand presentations (hardgoods and apparel) for sales meetings 3-4 times annually
  • Attend product line planning meetings for each hardgoods season
  • Communicate with Mob Grip Artist, Sales, Social Media, Web and Video departments in a timely manner regarding graphics, product launches, ads and promotional/marketing materials
  • Communication with photographers and videographers regarding marketing materials/pay rates and timely invoice processing
  • Direction of all Mob Grip advertising and promotions
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns at least once per month, meeting with appropriate staff members needed for execution.  Measure and discuss results of previous campaigns to continually improve effectiveness
  • Management of Mob Grip Team Manager to set goals and incentives as well as monitoring and reviewing progress monthly
  • Work closely with Licensing Manager to support Mob Grip licensees

 

Essential Team Manager Functions:

 

The Team Management position can be broken down into three main categories: team support, marketing, and content development. Requirements and expectations for each category are listed below.

 

Basic functions:

  • Write up of all team rider orders for Mob Grip, in Paving the Way
  • Audit and write up photo / video / web incentive requests for Mob Grip using the electronic form
  • Implementation of all current and new team rider contracts / offer sheets with legal
  • All hiring, firing and salary negotiations
  • Supplemental social media posts of team rider content, Insta stories, and tour coverage
  • Team tour planning, coordination, budgeting, execution

 

Team Support: The Team Manager is the point person for all support and communication between the brand and its riders. The TM is responsible for supplying current riders with the product they need, identifying new talent, and making sure the riders are performing to the standards of the brand.

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Must have an instinctive feeling about future product concepts
  • Must possess good analytical skills
  • Good listening skills, able to analyze sales data, marketing data, consumer feedback and industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of people from different parts of the business
  • Must be a team leader, able to inspire others
  • Ability to manage different projects at the same time
  • Requires someone who is organized and methodical
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong presentation skills a must
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years’ experience in Marketing and/or Brand Management

Proficiency in the following computer software is required:

  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerBI
  • Google Analytics, Docs, Calendar
  • Presentation Software (PowerPoint, Prezi)
  • Social Media analytics- Facebook, Instagram,  YouTube
