Please note this is a Full-Time, Hybrid position at our Santa Cruz, CA. headquarters.

Position Overview:

The Apparel Department Coordinator supports Development and Purchasing with data entry, SKU management, inventory control, and sample coordination. This role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The Coordinator must act quickly on urgent requests, deliver tasks on time or early, and proactively communicate with stakeholders to keep projects moving. This position plays a key role in bringing our apparel to market and requires strong multitasking and cross-functional collaboration skills. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Enter and maintain accurate product and SKU data across systems. 
  • Manage trims/packaging inventory and replenishment. 
  • Coordinate product samples: orders, tracking, organization, handoff to creative and shipping as needed. 
  • Place Purchase Orders for salesman samples, trims, blanks and other items as needed 
  • Prepare seasonal prebook summaries and communicate updates. 
  • Review invoices and resolve discrepancies. 
  • Set up back-end data and details for catalog creation. Proof the catalog for accuracy. 
  • Support development with product information updates, documentation, and clerical tasks. 
  • Support purchasing team with order tracking, pricing updates, and miscellaneous tasks. 
  • Provide general department support, shipments, and vendor communication. 
  • Respond promptly to any ad-hoc requests and prioritize workload effectively.  
  • Send any department-related shipments. 
  • Communication and organization of documents with our vendors. 
  • Back fill certain tasks from other roles in the department during an absence if needed.

Qualifications: 

  • College degree 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook 
  • Great with clerical, data-centric tasks 
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally and with vendors 
  • Experience with inventory/order tracking, financial processes, or project tools (Teams, Google Docs, Asana) a plus 

Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000
